Repeating the same practice quiz can improve your score without improving your understanding. Familiar wording and answer order can hide gaps. An error log makes each missed question useful by connecting it to the official manual and to the decision a driver must make.
Identify why you missed it
Record the subject rather than copying an entire quiz. Was the problem an unfamiliar term, a misunderstood rule, a calculation, or a word such as “except”? Those causes need different study methods. A vocabulary gap may need a diagram; a rushed reading error may need a slower review habit.
Find the controlling explanation
Locate the relevant manual section and summarize it in your own words. Explain why your selected answer did not fit. If the quiz explanation conflicts with the official manual, ask an instructor to help resolve it instead of memorizing the quiz.
Retest with a fresh example
Return to the topic after a break and use a different question or a spoken scenario. Close your notes before answering. Mark the topic as improving only when you can explain the reasoning, not merely recognize a familiar answer. Revisit recurring errors before adding more practice tests.
Put it into practice
Choose three recent mistakes. For each, write the topic, the reason for the mistake, the manual section, and a one-sentence explanation you can say without notes.
