English Practice Chatbots for Truck Drivers

Option 1: Practice trucking English with the Patriot CDL chatbot

This is the recommended option for truck drivers. The chatbot is prepared for real situations that commercial drivers experience in the United States and Canada.

1. Choose Ukrainian, Russian or Uzbek below.
2. Press the button to open the Patriot CDL training chatbot.
3. Install or open the official ChatGPT app, then sign in or create an account.
4. Allow ChatGPT to use your microphone when your phone asks for permission.
5. Tap the Voice icon in the message bar and choose a voice that is easy to understand.
6. Say: “I am a beginner. Speak slowly, explain in my language, and give me one trucking phrase at a time.”
7. Ask for a scenario such as a police stop, weigh station, loading dock, dispatcher call or breakdown.
8. Listen to each English phrase, repeat it aloud and ask the chatbot to correct you before continuing.

Option 2: Learn general English with a regular ChatGPT conversation

Choose this option for everyday English, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading or simple conversations that are not limited to trucking.

1. Open the regular ChatGPT home page using the button below.
2. Select New chat if an old conversation is displayed.
3. Type or say your first language and your English level.
4. Ask ChatGPT to act as a patient English teacher and to use short, simple sentences.
5. Tap the Voice icon if you want to speak instead of typing.
6. Choose a lesson: greetings, shopping, appointments, family conversations, job interviews, grammar or vocabulary.
7. Ask for one question at a time and request a correction after every answer.
8. At the end, ask for five words and five sentences to practice again tomorrow.

Beginner prompt: “I speak [your language]. I am a beginner in English. Be my patient English teacher. Speak slowly, use one short sentence at a time, translate difficult words, wait for my answer, and correct my mistakes.”
