A veteran truck driver has launched a free web platform that organizes parking, fuel and roadside-service information for professional drivers. FreightWaves reported October 16 that Shawn Gresham, a driver with 17 years of experience, built the service around 2,031 parking locations in 45 states. The directory includes 1,882 truck stops, 78 dedicated parking lots and 71 hotels that may accommodate commercial vehicles.
Drivers can search by state, interstate and exit and can see whether overnight parking has been confirmed or remains unverified. The platform also lists 259 repair shops, tire services, roadside providers and towing companies. Its diesel board is updated daily. Access does not require an account, payment card or subscription, which may make it useful as a backup when a driver is comparing stops along an unfamiliar route.
The tool has important limits. It does not show live space availability, and a directory listing is not permission to park. Planned GPS navigation and trip-planning features are being tested by 87 drivers, with release targeted for New Year's Eve. The future trip planner is expected to let drivers enter available hours manually, but it will not connect to an ELD or replace a compliant electronic log. The site also offers CDL practice tests, while a proposed training academy still requires state approval.
Drivers should confirm parking rules, posted time limits and facility access before ending a shift, and they should keep a legal backup stop in the trip plan. Fuel comparisons should include route miles and detours, not only the posted pump price. Fleets can add verified locations to route guides after checking them. A broad free directory can reduce search time, but safe parking decisions still depend on current signs, conditions and the driver's available hours.
