Samsara Driver Perks Adds Free Rewards From More Than 50 Brands

Samsara has launched Driver Perks, a free rewards program for professional drivers in its United States network that does not add a program fee for participating fleets. TheTrucker.com reported the launch September 10. Eligible long-haul, passenger-transit and last-mile drivers can access discounts and offers from more than 50 brands covering food and beverages, wellness, fitness, travel, learning and other everyday purchases.

Drivers can open the program through the Samsara Driver App, a direct web link or a QR code provided by their organization. Each participating brand sets its own offer terms, and redemption occurs directly with that brand. Samsara says it plans to add offers over time and eventually expand access outside the United States. Fleets should still review privacy notices, eligibility rules and any data-sharing choices before introducing the benefit to employees.

The company says it developed the program with its Driver Council and surveyed drivers about what they value. Fitness and wellness ranked highly for 64% of respondents, food and beverages for 58%, and learning or personal development for 51%. In a separate wellbeing question, 79% emphasized staying healthy and active while 64% selected time to rest and recharge. Those are company-reported survey findings, not measurements of retention or health outcomes.

For carriers, the launch reflects a broader recruiting trend: driver support increasingly includes practical benefits that fit life on the road, not only pay and equipment. A discount platform can supplement a retention plan, but it cannot replace predictable home time, safe vehicles, legal schedules, responsive dispatch and transparent compensation. Fleet managers should explain that participation is optional, show drivers how to evaluate offer terms and track anonymous usage feedback rather than judging the program by enrollment alone. The strongest benefit strategy starts with core working conditions and uses perks to add tangible value around them.
